Peoria Emporium is a unique retail experience where merchandise is showcased within a full-scale, contemporary art installation. Both work together (background and foreground) to offer shoppers a visual and tactile feast of color, texture and design, frequently putting the ordinary to extraordinary use. The Peoria experience has the familiar feeling the name implies: items at Peoria will play anywhere.

Selected goods include women's clothing, accessories, jewelry and shoes, toys and games for children as well as gift items for the home. Vendors (to name only a few) include Flax, Habitat, Cut Loose, Johnny Was, Neesh and An Ren for clothing; the magnificent scarves, flowers and wraps by designer Mina Mann; jewelry from Is Art, Hot Cakes and Abra Couture; shoes by Irregular Choice, Poetic License and Everybody; toys and games by Alex, Mudpuppy and Eeboo; and Pylones for the home.

Many pieces are personally imported from exotic locations (Peru, Mexico, Mali, Burkina Faso and India) such as the hard-to-keep-in-stock “Obama” products from South Africa. Other items are the unique creations of the owners/artists, bearing the Peoria brand name, often made by recycling non-precious materials. Handmade stuffed toys, named “Dinamals” in honor of Peoria’s talented production associate, fly off the shelves. Recycled, reinvented, remarkable.
